GA4 MIGRATION
Migration to GA4
Universal Analytics (GA3) is now at the end of its journey, by 1 July 2023, the date on which the processing of data on this property will be stopped, all users are invited to migrate to GA4 in order to ensure continuity in the analysis of your different websites.
This is how the new and more powerful version of Google Analytics comes along: the sooner the transition to this version will take place, the more accurate data will be collected for the monitoring of your website.
Why is GA4 migration a leap into innovation?
The new version of Google Analytics is implemented with new features and options that will allow you to analyze data from your website truly at a higher level. With GA4 you will:
- compare data from your website and app;
- use event-based data and not just session data;
- use more in-depth privacy controls to protect your users;
- use new predictive functions without complex models;
- set up new integrations from different multimedia platforms.

From July 1st Universal Analytcs (GA3) will stop the collection and analysis of data from every website still connected to it. If you want to continue analyzing your website using useful info and statistics for subsequent marketing actions, the transition to GA4 is essential.
There are many differences between the two properties. GA4 potential is greatly increased. Currently, it seems that the greatest distinguishing feature is the ability to use statistics and data based on events and not on sessions. Every interaction with your website is recorded as an event, without being labeled as a category, action or any other type of interaction.
After switching to GA4 on 1 July 2023, the old AU reports will still be available for reading for at least six months. After that date they will be inaccessible. It will, thus, be necessary to export the historical reports as soon as possible, as start collecting new data on the new GA4 property as soon as possible.
